meeting some people
It’s the middle of the week again.. yes even here i count down to the weekend..
Working for school is the same in Belgium as it is in Viet nam, except for the inet connection, which goes a little slower. Or doesn’t work at all, like today, so had to come to the student home and worked here a little. Yesterday I gave a presentation for Dr Lan and Mrs Ha about my thesis subject and the surroundings, they were very interested and I’m looking forward to working with them.
For this weekend i booked a 2 day trip to Ha Long Bay, I’m really curious what the view, trip and scenery will be like. I’ll report back with some photos, I try to take as much as possible without looking like the standard dumb tourist.
Also met some interesting people the last few days, A. the dutch guy at the student home, A. the french guy who just arrived, some korean people, some americans, X. the vietnamese student studying telecom at the HUT… Had drinks (bia) with all of them, all of them nice and helpful chaps and galls ;)
I’m starting to adapt to the Vietnamese way of living. But I still have allot to learn.. Like the Vietnamese language, I know my first words, but it’ll stay at those words I think..
I found the spelling checker in Tumbler.. but I don’t think it’s working properly..
oh yeah: there’s some ‘scratching’ sound in my room.. it’s probably the rat from P and H’s room visiting me, but I can’t find it…
